Fall in Europe

It's been awhile since I've checked in here. Since my last post I traveled to London for the weekend. I had a great time. The city has a unique charm that holds its own when compared to Paris or Rome. I was able to have tea in London which I can now knock off my bucket list...I also tried a variety of different beers including a chocolate beer!! Aside from London school has been keeping me pretty busy with tests and h/w. Around mid November I was getting a little unhappy with what I thought at the time was a lack of progress...I guess I was expecting to be fluent after two months here...Funny I know, but I've been making a lot of progress and my final exams coming up aren't so frighting anymore...Hopefully I'll do well!!

I tried ice-skating a few weekends ago and I ended up having a lot of fun...I guess that's what this time over here is about, going outside of my comfort zone, trying new things and little by little growing as a person.

I've been comparing the lifestyles of France and the US lately...there are a few things I would like to bring back with me, as well as some things I hope to leave here for the French to learn from...(maybe I'll write a post on that at some point in the near future)

I spent my first Thanksgiving away from my family over here with my french family :-) I couldn't have asked for better company/better food!! There is so much to be thankful for!! :)

Also I got the teaching aid position that I applied for next semester. I'm so excited to start!! It sounds like a lot of fun and I keep thinking about different activities to do with the kids. Funny since I never really wanted to be a teacher...

Other then that I have finals starting next week... wish me luck!

And naturally I miss everyone back home!! So skype me!! :)
